The thread that ties these areas together is reliance on my people skills and expertise in communicating my ideas. Working in teams and inspiring people to perform is something I am comfortable with and these skills will assist me as a superintendent. I feel these have been strengthened more through this program and I am more aware of strengths I did not know I possessed.
The following are items I feel I am competent to lead with, but I have ranked them this way because I feel I could benefit from further guidance with the team I lead or from experts who can give me some concrete suggestions that may apply directly to the school district I will lead. I believe I have a solid foundation on which to build more knowledge and move forward with more research. The following are the competencies I ranked myself competent in knowledge and skill:
